A new project!

This week we have begun our Nevada project titled "Who Would Move to Nevada". Today we spent time talking about state symbols and our state motto. We will move on to researching six different groups who moved to Nevada through history. Yesterday we had a guest speaker from the Northern Pauite tribe. She kicked off our project with a great deal of information about the first settlers to this area. Students seem to be adjusting well to our classroom and procedures. Please let us know if there are things with which you need help or questions answered. I love working with this group! Enjoy your week.

First Day of School!

Hello Fourth Grade Families, We had an amazing first day of school. Your children were wonderful and we were able to accomplish many of our organizational tasks. Ask them about our day! I can't wait to work with them again tomorrow. As it turns out, I will be the substitute in our classroom for the mornings the rest of this week and next while Mrs. Antoniono is out of town. I am so excited that I will be able to spend most of the day with our students for two weeks. I will be teaching morning math and will keep you updated on how things are going. Enjoy your evening and get those kiddos to bed early. I'm sure they're exhausted. :-) Nancy
